Our Mission Statement: To offer our best to God through Worship, Fellowship and Care for the Community
Nestling at the heart of the picturesque garden village of Port Sunlight, Christ Church is a popular choice for weddings. As well as its beautiful architecture, Christ Church boasts a Peal of Bells (most unusual for a United Reformed Church) and a small, robed choir.
Christ Church welcomes enquiries from couples wishing to take their vows within an act of Christian worship. Our weddings are conducted according to the traditions and liturgies of our Protestant Reformed church.
We arrange to meet couples to discuss booking their wedding plans and invite them to a Wedding Information Evening and, later, a Rehearsal before the wedding day itself.
We conduct weddings on some weekdays and Saturdays, but not on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Our church building is registered for marriage services between a man and a woman. It is not at present registered for marriages of same-sex couples.
In order to marry at Christ Church, it is generally a legal requirement that either:
• at least one of the couple is resident within the Wirral Registration District, or
• that Christ Church is the usual place of worship of at least one of the couple.
