Christ Church, Port Sunlight

Our Mission Statement: To offer our best to God through Worship, Fellowship and Care for the Community

Remembrance Sunday 11th November 2018

The Christ Church service of Remembrance will be starting at the War Memorial in Port Sunlight on Sunday 11th November at 10:45 am. This will follow the pattern set in previous years with a number of uniformed bodies in attendance.

On behalf of the members of Christ Church Port Sunlight, all are welcome to join with us at the War Memorial and afterwards in Christ Church for a service of Remembrance.

As with last year, if you intend to parade, would you kindly form up outside the Lyceum Club on Bridge Street at 10:25 and march via Bolton Road and Jubilee Crescent to arrive there for 10:45. After the service, at around noon, please form up outside the church on Church Drive and march via The Causeway, Queen Mary’s Drive, across Bolton Road along Cross Street to the Bath Street.

At 12:30, in conjunction with churches throughout the land, our church bells will ring out in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day. (Some 1400 ringers lost their lives in WW1).

Details of upcoming events will be posted here when appropriate.

Details of future events will be posted here.
