Handbell Ringers

‘Making music is good for you!’

Christ Church has a splendid set of handbells and a keen band of ringers. Tunes are played on handbells with ringers usually playing two bells. The ringers play a variety of tunes – traditional hymn tunes and more modern pieces.This form of music-making is open to everyone – it is not necessary to be able to read music as a system of numbers represent each note in the scale.

The handbell ringers practices every Tuesday (except the first Tuesday of each month) at 7:15 p.m. in the Church Vestry and new ringers are always welcome – no previous experience is required. If you are interested, please contact John Lindsay on 0151 645 3091.
