Our Mission Statement: To offer our best to God through Worship, Fellowship and Care for the Community
Please note that this section remains under construction. Both presentation and content will be different but, for the present, the following summary is included here for basic information only.
Sunday Worship Club
This ‘club’ meets at morning service each Sunday, initially joining in with the adults then leaving for separate activites part way through the service. There are four separate groups, one of which includes a créche for children from 3 or four, up to the senior group for up to 18 year-olds. From time to time, the Sunday Worship Club will lead part of some morning services such as during Advent (Nativities) and other special occasions when, for example, hand bells may be rung.
The youngest group is called Anchor Boys and meets every Thursday at 6 p.m. The Junior and Company sections, the latter for boys up to the age of 18, meet on Fridays at 6:15 p.m. All meetings are in the Church Hall. The Boys’ Brigade join us for Parade Services.
Visit the national website of the Boys’ Brigade to find out more about their aims and objectives.
Practices are held every Thursday in the Choir Vestry at 6:30 p.m. The choir sings at almost all Sunday services and, like the bellringers, is also in demand for weddings and the occasional funeral.
Meet every Wednesday in the tower from 7:30 to 9 p.m. for practice and ring for all Sunday morning services and, less frequently, for afternoon services. Their services are also much in demand for weddings and, occasionally, for funerals.
The Handbell Ringers
Meet every Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. in the Church Hall.
Meets in the Church Hall every Wednesday at 2 p.m.
